Templates
Templates in this collection
Customers want to know what they can return, what they pay and what you do with their data. These templates put those answers in plain words for a shop or a web store, and cover the stock and supplier paperwork behind the till.
Templates are a careful starting point, not legal advice. Where the law matters, check what applies where you are.
Retail and shops
Questions people ask
Which policies should an online shop publish?
- At least terms of sale, a returns and refund policy and a privacy notice, each on its own page linked from the footer and the checkout. Check the consumer rules where you sell.
Can I use the templates for a physical shop?
- Yes. The terms, returns, stock and supplier templates work in a shop as they do online. Change the wording to match how you sell.
Are these templates free?
- Most are. Fill in and download them for free as Word or PDF, with no account. A few longer documents are premium: free to fill in, paid once to download, and marked with their price.
Do they follow my country's law?
- They assume no country's law. Where the rules matter, such as safety, data protection or employment, each template says to check what applies where you are, and a lawyer should read anything that carries real risk.
