Product, People and HR, Business workspaces

Everything about your staff, in one place that stays private.

Staff records, time off, hours and shifts, hiring, staff reviews, training and payroll. You switch on only the parts you use. A person sees their own details and their own pay, and nobody sees more than their role allows.

The free plan is one seat and 3,000 credits a month, never charged.

01Staff records

A record for each person, with their contracts and documents.

Add a person with their name, work email, job title, department, first day and type of work (full time, part time, casual, contractor or intern). Their page has Details, Contracts, Documents and a Timeline. Invite them to sign in by email when you are ready.

A contract change adds a new line and the old terms stay. Documents such as a contract, an identity document, a certificate or a work permit can have a date they run out on. Mark a person as left with a last day, and their records stay.

What nerix does here

  • Draft a job description or a letter when you ask. It changes no record by itself.
  • It never rates or ranks people.
  • StaffSearch by name or email. Filter by working here, on leave, starting soon or left.
  • Who reports to whomA chart everyone in the workspace can see.
  • DepartmentsGroup people the way your company is built.
  • My detailsEach person sees and keeps their own details.

02Time off, hours and shifts

Requests, timesheets and the rota without a spreadsheet.

A person asks for time off with the kind, the dates and half days if needed. nerix shows what is left and refuses a request that is too long or overlaps another. Managers approve, or decline with a reason the person reads. The team calendar shows who is off and warns when many people are away.

For hours, people clock in and clock out, with a break if they took one. The week's timesheet shows worked, overtime and planned hours, and goes to a manager for approval. A manager builds the rota by person and day, can leave a shift open, and publishes the week. People see only published weeks.

What nerix does here

  • Explain a balance, or draft a request for you to send. It never approves or declines, and never changes hours.
  • Time offMine, Team calendar, Approvals and All requests.
  • TodayClock in and clock out, the shift planned today and hours so far.
  • TimesheetsWorked, overtime and planned hours for the week, sent for approval.
  • RotaShifts by person and day, open shifts, published week by week.

03Hiring and reviews

Fill a job, then look after the people you hired.

Open a job, add applicants and move each one along the steps, from applied to screening, interview, offer and hired. Plan an interview by phone, video, in person or as a panel. Each interviewer fills a scorecard with a rating, a recommendation and comments that only the hiring side sees. An accepted offer turns the applicant into a staff record in one tap.

For reviews, start a round with its dates and the parts people write: a self review, a manager review, peer feedback, or any mix. Each person submits their part. A part stays hidden from the others until the manager finishes the review, and only then can the person read it.

What nerix does here

  • It never ranks, scores, shortlists or rejects applicants, and never says hire or do not hire.
  • It never rates staff or writes a review rating. A short summary of a resume may be shown, marked as a reading aid, and a person always decides.
  • OpeningsDraft, open, paused, filled or closed, with who is hiring.
  • ApplicantsA board by step, with notes and the resume.
  • OffersSent, accepted, declined or withdrawn.
  • Review roundsSelf, manager and peer parts, then Finish review.

04Training and payroll

Skills and policies to confirm, and pay runs a second person approves.

Training keeps a skills matrix of people against the skills their job needs, with courses, booked sessions and certificates that expire. Send a policy to read, and people tap that they have read and understood it. You see who confirmed, who is waiting and who is late, and you can remind them. A quiz can be drafted from the document, which a person checks.

Payroll works in pay runs. Choose the dates, calculate, read the lines marked Needs a look, approve (a different person from the one who prepared it), then finalise. nerix makes payslips and a bank file as XML or CSV. You upload that file to your bank yourself. nerix never pays anyone and never moves money. Mark as paid is only a note that someone paid.

What nerix does here

  • It drafts quiz questions. It never grades people, marks them late or ranks them.
  • It never changes pay, approves a run or shows one person's pay to another.
  • Skills matrixIn place, expires soon, missing or expired, for each person.
  • Read and confirmA policy sent to people, with a read by date and reminders.
  • Pay runsCalculate, check, approve, finalise, then make the bank file.
  • PayslipsEach employee sees their own, with why it changed.

05Questions

Questions

Can everyone see everyone's pay and contracts?

No. Contracts, pay and private documents need a separate permission. Without it a person is told it is private and who can open it. Employees see only their own payslips.

Does nerix pay my staff?

No. Payroll makes the numbers, payslips and a bank file. You upload the file to your bank. Mark as paid only records that someone paid.

Does the AI choose who to hire?

No. It never ranks, scores or rejects applicants. People interview, fill the scorecards and decide.

Is it in a personal workspace?

No. These pages are for business workspaces. A personal workspace never shows them.

Do I have to use all of it?

No. Staff records come first and the other parts need them. You switch on only what you use.

Which countries does payroll cover?

Pay rules are kept per country and reviewed before they are used. Ask us about yours before you rely on it.
