01Ask for it

Say what you want, in your language.

Ask for a picture, a photo, an illustration or a logo in plain words. nerix makes it with the best image model your workspace allows, and shows it in the side panel with a small card in the chat. A line under the answer says Making the image while it works.

Which image models can be used follows the same choices as the rest of the assistant: an owner or admin chooses which AI providers may receive anything from the workspace.

02Use it

Download, insert, or make variations.

In the panel, Download saves the picture, Insert into the open document puts it in the document beside the chat, and Make variations asks for more like it.

A picture inserted into a document shows inside it and comes out in the Word, PDF and HTML downloads at full quality, with its description as alt text.

03Charts are drawn

Your numbers are never drawn by an image model.

Charts, graphs and infographics of your own numbers are drawn from the figures inside a document, not made as a picture. An image model could invent a number. A drawn chart cannot, because it is made from the table behind it.

Flow charts, org charts, timelines and the other diagrams in long documents are drawn the same way. Use pictures for pictures, and drawn figures for facts.

Can it make a chart of my sales?

Yes, but it is drawn from your numbers, not generated as a picture. Ask for it in a document or with Work with data.

Who owns the picture?

Check the terms of the image provider your workspace uses, and of your own plan, before you use a picture commercially. We do not make promises on behalf of the model providers.

Can I put a picture in my document?

Yes. Insert into the open document puts it there, and it comes out in Word, PDF and HTML downloads.

Does the workspace choose where the data goes?

Yes. New workspaces are EU only by default, and an owner or admin chooses which providers may be used.
