Document control that has actually read your files.

nerix fills it in as it reads the file: its type, such as Policy or Procedure, its area, its own date taken from the text rather than the upload date, whether it is approved, a draft or a template, and when it is next due for review.

Press Change to correct any of it. What you set is kept when nerix reads the file again, and Let nerix decide hands a field back. Filters narrow the library by area, type, year and quarter.

Files nerix writes, such as a finished long document or approved minutes, are filed as drafts with their type, area, owner and version filled in. A draft does not count as evidence in a check until a person approves it.

PDFs, spreadsheets, presentations, scans and code, each with its own icon. Clients, staff and suppliers each get a folder tree automatically, and one file filed in several places stays one file.

Every document shows its index status. Indexed means it can be quoted with a page number. Still indexing means keyword search only, for now. A file that could not be read says so.

The product tells you which is which instead of letting you assume.

Each indexed document also gets a short summary and a list of topics, so you can tell what a 34 page agreement holds without opening it.

A search hit, a cited answer in chat and the document open at the cited page are the same promise at three depths: nothing is ever more than one click from its source.

Big documents and large libraries are read once, into an outline, a summary of each section and a map of the library. An answer across many files then reads the right sections and cites each claim.
