Templates
Templates in this collection
Most property disputes start with something nobody wrote down: the condition on move-in day, the agreed rent or who pays for a repair. These templates put dates, amounts and conditions on paper for landlords, tenants and agents alike.
Templates are a careful starting point, not legal advice. Where the law matters, check what applies where you are.

Questions people ask
Is a lease template valid where I live?
- Tenancy law differs a lot between countries and cities, for example on deposits and notice periods. Use the template as a base and check the rules where the property is.
What should I record on the day a tenant moves in?
- Use the check-in inventory to note the condition of each room with dates, and have both sides sign it. It is the record you rely on if the deposit is disputed later.
Are these templates free?
- Most are. Fill in and download them for free as Word or PDF, with no account. A few longer documents are premium: free to fill in, paid once to download, and marked with their price.
Do they follow my country's law?
- They assume no country's law. Where the rules matter, such as safety, data protection or employment, each template says to check what applies where you are, and a lawyer should read anything that carries real risk.
