Switching and export
Switching and export
You can leave nerix.ai, or move to another provider, at any time and take your data with you. It is free and it does not need a support ticket.
01Export everything yourself
Owners and admins open Settings, Data and legal, and choose Make an export. nerix builds one zip file in the background. When it is ready the page shows a Download button and we email you. The link works for 14 days, and you can make a new export whenever you like.
Exporting costs no credits and has no size limit that works as a fee. Every person can also download their own account data from the same page.

03Terms of switching
These are the terms the EU Data Act (Article 25) asks us to state. They apply to every customer.
- You may switch to another provider, move your data to your own systems, or end the contract, without obstacles from us.
- Notice: you can start switching with a notice of up to 2 months. On a monthly plan you can also simply cancel in Settings, Billing and usage.
- Transition: for 30 calendar days after your notice we support the process and keep the service running. If something is technically not possible in 30 days we tell you within 14 working days, say why, and offer a longer transition of up to 7 months. You can extend the transition once.
- Retrieval period: after the transition your data stays available for export for at least 30 calendar days.
- Deletion: when the retrieval period ends we delete your workspace and the data in it, backups included within 30 further days, and confirm it to you on request. A workspace deletion you start yourself waits 30 days so a mistake can be undone.
- Cost: no switching charges. Exporting is free. Ordinary fees for the period you used remain due, and nothing is charged for leaving.
- The contract ends when switching is complete.
04Open formats and interfaces
The export uses open, widely supported formats so another service can read it. The assistant's documents and spreadsheets are real Word and Excel files. The layout of the zip is described in the README.txt inside it, and its version is in manifest.json.
Developers can read the same data with the API. If a format you need is missing, tell us at info@nerix.ai.
05Where your data is processed
Your conversations and logs are stored on servers in France and your files in the Netherlands, all in the European Union. Requests to AI model providers go where your workspace allows: a new workspace is EU only. The list of providers and where each one processes data is on the sub-processors page.
nerix.ai is run by a company in the United States. We do not give a third country access to your data except as the law requires, we ask for the legal basis of any order, we challenge orders that conflict with EU law, and we give the least we can. Questions and requests go to info@nerix.ai.
