Templates in this collection
Funders, members and volunteers all expect a charity to be open and well run. These templates help a small team keep clear records, from the gift to the board decision, without starting from a blank page.
Templates are a careful starting point, not legal advice. Where the law matters, check what applies where you are.

Questions people ask
Is a donation receipt a tax document?
- Not by itself. Rules for tax relief on gifts differ by country, so check what your tax authority requires and add those details to the receipt.
Which policies does a small charity need?
- That depends on your country and your funders. Common ones are a code of conduct, a conflict of interest declaration, a whistleblowing policy and a data retention policy.
Are these templates free?
- Most are. Fill in and download them for free as Word or PDF, with no account. A few longer documents are premium: free to fill in, paid once to download, and marked with their price.
Do they follow my country's law?
- They assume no country's law. Where the rules matter, such as safety, data protection or employment, each template says to check what applies where you are, and a lawyer should read anything that carries real risk.
