Product, E-signatures
Send a document to sign, and keep the proof.
Pick a document in Documents and ask people to accept or sign it. They get a link, read exactly the version you sent, and answer. Every step goes into a record, and the signed PDF carries it.
The free plan is one seat and 3,000 credits a month, never charged.

01Send
Ask to sign, from the document.
Choose Ask to sign on a document and add the people. Ask them to accept it or to sign it. They get an email with a link of their own, and the page shows what you sent. You can add a message, set when the request expires (30 days unless you change it), and have reminders go out on the days you choose.
The request freezes that version. If the text were changed afterwards, signing is refused, so what somebody signs is what was sent. Sent and signed in Documents lists every request and where it stands.
What nerix does here
- An automation can send a signing request when you want, and it waits for your yes before it goes out.
- Accept or signChoose which, per request.
- Its own linkEach signer gets a private link, made when their email is sent.
- RemindersOn the days you set. A reminder carries a new link, and the old one stops working.
- ExpiresAfter 30 days unless you change it, up to a year.
02The record
Every step is written down, and a change shows.
Created, sent, viewed, signed, declined, reminded, expired, cancelled and completed are each added to a trail. Every event includes the one before it in a hash, so editing a middle step or removing one breaks the chain. The signer page records the IP address and browser with each step, and says so.
When everyone has signed, the PDF of that version is kept with a signature page that prints the trail and its final hash. Every signer can keep that copy, so the record does not depend on us alone.
- EventsCreated, sent, viewed, signed, declined, reminded, expired, cancelled, completed.
- ChainedEach event includes the hash of the one before it.
- RecordedThe IP address and browser of each step, which the signer page says.
- PrintedThe signed PDF carries the trail and its final hash.
03Honest about what it is
A simple electronic signature, not a qualified one.
This is a simple electronic signature: the person with the link says they accept or sign, and the record shows when, from where and what they saw. It is not a qualified electronic signature and no certificate authority is involved.
Many everyday documents only need this, such as a quote, a policy acknowledgement or a simple agreement. Some contracts need a qualified signature by law or by their own terms. If that is yours, use a service that provides one.
- What you getWho signed, when, from which IP address and browser, of exactly which version.
- What it is notA qualified electronic signature, or an identity check.
- When to askIf you are unsure what a contract needs, ask a lawyer.
04Around it
From a template, from the meeting, into the library.
Documents made from a template can go straight to Ask to sign, and meeting minutes can be sent for signing. When everyone signed, an automation can start the next step, such as making a task or telling a space.
The link is the credential, so it is rate limited, and one plain refusal answers a link that is unknown, expired or cancelled. A signing request belongs to your workspace, and another workspace cannot see it.
- TemplatesFill in a template, then send it to be signed.
- MeetingsMinutes can be exported or sent for signing.
- AutomationsEveryone signed can start the next step.
05Questions
Questions
Is this legally binding?
It is a simple electronic signature, which many everyday documents accept. Whether it is enough depends on the document and the law that applies. It is not a qualified electronic signature, and we do not give legal advice.
What can the signer see?
The document as you sent it, your message, and what they are asked to do. They need no account.
Can the document be changed after it is sent?
No. The request is tied to that version. If the text no longer matches, signing is refused. Send a new request for a new version.
What is in the signed PDF?
The document and a signature page with the trail of events and its final hash, so a signer can check the copy they keep.
What does the signer's browser tell you?
We record the IP address and the browser with each step, and the signer page says so before they answer.
