Product, Money, Business workspaces

Quotes, invoices, expenses and your books, kept together.

Make a quote, turn it into an invoice, send it, record the payment and see it land in your books. People claim expenses from a photo of the receipt. Each part works alone, and they post into the books when those are on.

The free plan is one seat and 3,000 credits a month, never charged.

01Quotes and invoices

From a quote to a paid invoice, with every version kept.

Choose a customer, set the dates and terms, add lines with a description, quantity, price and tax, and write a note. Save a draft, then send it by email with the PDF, and with an e-invoice file if you want one. A sent invoice gets its number and cannot be edited. Record a payment to mark it paid or part paid, correct it with a credit note, or void it.

A quote works the same way, with a valid until date. The email carries a link where the customer can accept the quote online. Mark it accepted or declined yourself when the answer came another way, make a new version while the old ones are kept, and turn an accepted quote into an invoice. Repeat an invoice on a schedule.

What nerix does here

  • Draft invoice lines or a covering note when you ask, and say it is a draft.
  • It never sends an invoice, marks one paid or changes an amount on its own.
  • ViewsAll, Unpaid, Overdue, Drafts and Paid, with totals at the top.
  • QuotesDrafts, waiting, accepted, and declined or expired, with the value waiting.
  • RepeatingAn invoice that goes out on a schedule you set.
  • NumberingSet how your invoice numbers run.

02Expenses

Take a photo of the receipt, and send it for approval.

Say what it was for, then take a photo of the receipt. nerix reads it and you check the details and fix them by hand if it could not read them. You can also add an expense by hand, or add a trip by car, where the distance is multiplied by the rate. A receipt is needed above a set amount.

The approver approves, or sends it back with what to fix. Then mark it as paid back with a date. That is a note that someone paid. Nothing is paid from nerix. A person sees only their own claims.

What nerix does here

  • Read a receipt photo as a draft for you to check. A receipt it is unsure about stays marked so.
  • It never approves or pays a claim.
  • My claimsNot sent, waiting for approval, approved, sent back, paid back.
  • To approveFor approvers, with Approve and Send back.
  • Trip by carDistance times the rate.

03The books

Accounts, bank lines and reports, with nothing edited after posting.

Set up your accounts, then post entries with lines that must balance. A posted entry is never edited. You reverse it with a reason. Entries made by invoices, expenses and payroll are marked and reverse from where they came from.

Add a bank account and bring in a statement. For each line, accept a suggested match with an invoice, an expense or your own rule, put it in an account, or leave it out. Read the trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet and tax summary for any dates, and print them. Close the month when everything is matched, and nobody can change it until you open it again.

What nerix does here

  • Explain a figure in plain words.
  • It never posts, reverses, closes or matches without you confirming, and it does not give tax or legal advice.
  • OverviewCash, owed to you, you owe, and money in and out over 30 days.
  • BankStatement lines with suggested matches rated very likely, likely or possible.
  • ReportsTrial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet and tax summary.
  • Close the monthStops changes in closed months.
