Product, Data analysis

Ask your spreadsheet in plain words, and get exact numbers.

Attach an Excel or CSV file and say what you want: total the sales per month, list the customers who owe more than 500, make a chart. nerix writes a small program, you read it, and every number comes from running it, not from a guess.

The free plan is one seat and 3,000 credits a month, never charged.

01Work with data

A program on your files, not a guess about them.

In the chat, choose Work with data, or type /data, and say what you want from the files. nerix writes a small Python program and runs it on your files (Excel, CSV, PDF, Word, images) to count, total, compare, clean, extract or chart exactly. It makes files to download, such as Excel, CSV or a chart.

If you ask about an attached spreadsheet in plain words, nerix may choose this by itself. Scanned pages are read with the text the library already took from them, and large sheets are read in pieces.

What nerix does here

  • Every number in the answer comes from the program that ran, not from a guess.
  • AskWork with data in the chat, or type /data, and say what you want.
  • FilesExcel, CSV, PDF, Word and images, attached or from your library.
  • OutputExcel, CSV or a chart to download.

02You are in control

You read the program, and you press Run.

The program shows in the chat under Show what happened: what it is for, the files it uses and the code. You read it and press Run. Edit code lets you change it first, and Cancel drops it. An admin can let it run without asking, or switch it off.

When it has run, the card shows how it ended, what it printed and the files it made, with a table preview or a picture. Download saves a file, and Keep in Files puts it in your library. If the program fails, nerix writes a fixed version and shows it to you the same way, a few times at most.

  • RunYou read it first, then run it.
  • Edit codeChange the program before it runs.
  • DownloadExcel, CSV or a chart, to save.
  • Keep in FilesPut the result in a folder of your library.

03Contained

Closed off from the internet, and your files are never changed.

The program runs closed off: no internet, about two minutes and 1 GB of memory per run. It gets copies of up to 10 files, at most 256 MB each, so your files are never changed. It can give back up to 20 files, 25 MB in all.

Each run is recorded: who, which files, how long and how it ended. A workspace can run it 150 times a day, and 10 on a trial. Each run that ran costs 10 credits on top of the answer. A program nobody ran costs nothing extra.

  • No internetThe program cannot send your data anywhere.
  • Copies onlyUp to 10 files, 256 MB each. Your files are never changed.
  • LimitsAbout two minutes and 1 GB of memory per run.
  • Cost10 credits for each run that ran.

04Make a file

The same idea for decks, reports and charts.

Make a file produces PowerPoint decks, Word and PDF reports, OpenDocument files, calendar invites, CSV and Excel files, charts, text and Markdown, from the facts you give or the files you attach. You see the program first and press Run, and each run costs the same as Work with data.

For a spreadsheet you want to keep working in, ask for a workbook instead: a real Excel file with inputs on their own sheet, live formulas, checks and charts.

  • Make a fileDecks, reports, invites, CSV, Excel and charts, made in your language.
  • WorkbooksExcel with live formulas, calculated on the server and editable in the Sheet.

05Questions

Questions

Does it send my files to the internet?

The program runs with no internet. Your files are copied in for the run and never changed. The answer around it is written by an AI model that your workspace allows, as with any other chat answer.

Can it be wrong?

The numbers come from the program, so they are exact for what the program does. Read the program, or ask nerix what it did, to check that it answered your question.

Which files can it read?

Excel, CSV, PDF, Word and images, up to 10 files per run.

Do I need to know Python?

No. You can read the card's plain description of what it is for, and press Run. The code is there if you want to see it.
