Our commitment

Northgate Supplies Ltd treats everyone fairly. We want a workplace where people are chosen and promoted on ability and merit, and where nobody is treated worse because of who they are.

Who is protected

We do not discriminate on the basis of: Age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy and maternity. This applies under the law of Ireland and to all applicants, employees, contractors, volunteers and agency staff.

What the policy covers

Job adverts and recruitting
Pay and benefits
Training and development
Promotion
Discipline and dismissal
Working conditions and flexibility

Adjustments

We will make reasonable adjustments for disabled applicants and staff, such as changes to equipment, hours or the interview process.

What we do not accept

Direct discrimination, indirect discrimination, harassment, victimisation and bullying are not acceptable. Breaking this policy may lead to disciplinary action, and in serious cases to dismissal.

Raising a concern

Anyone who believes they have been treated unfairly, or has seen unfair treatment, should tell People team, people@northgate.example. A concern can also be raised through the usual grievance procedure. We will look into it promptly and fairly, keep it confidential as far as possible, and protect anyone who raises a concern in good faith from being treated worse for it.

Responsibility

Managers must lead by example, apply the policy in every decision and act on concerns. Every employee must follow it. Head of People reviews it on or before 1 March 2028 and checks recruitment and pay data for patterns that need attention.

Templates are a careful starting point, not legal advice. Where the law matters, check what applies where you are.
