OKRs for Brightwater Analytics, Customer Success

Period: Q1 2027
Owner: Daniel Okafor
Main priority: Help every client see value in their first 30 days.

OKRs are objectives, what we want to achieve, with key results, the numbers that show we did. We aim high: reaching about 70 percent of a key result is a good result.

Objective 1

Objective: Make new clients successful from the first month
Owner: Lucia Romero

Key results

Cut time to first value from 21 to 10 days
Raise onboarding satisfaction from 7.8 to 9.0
Complete onboarding for 95 percent of new clients within 30 days

Objective 2

Objective: Keep and grow our existing clients
Owner: Tomás Ruiz

Key results

Raise yearly renewal from 88 to 93 percent
Grow revenue from existing clients by 10 percent
Hold a review with every top 30 client

Objective 3

Objective: Build a team that learns fast
Owner: Mei Chen

Key results

Everyone completes 16 hours of training
Publish 10 help articles from real questions

How we follow progress

We review progress every Monday for 15 minutes, with a full review at week 6 and week 12. For each key result we write the current number and a confidence of green, amber or red, and we say what is in the way.

What we need from others: Product: a setup checklist in the app by week 3
Finance: renewal data by week 1

How long should a business plan be?

As short as it can be while it says what you sell, to whom, how you earn money and what you need. Ten pages is plenty for most small businesses.

Will a plan get me funding?

It cannot promise that. A clear plan helps a bank or an investor understand you, and they decide by their own rules.
