Return to office policy

Company: Harlow and Finch Ltd
Starts on: 4 January 2028
Policy owner: Chief People Officer

Why

Teams told us they work best when they meet in person for planning, new starters and complex problems.

Who it covers

All employees except those hired as fully remote

What we expect

Working pattern: Working pattern

Office days: At least three days a week; Tuesday and Wednesday are team days for everyone

Core hours: 10:00 to 16:00 local time

On other days people work from home or another agreed place, with a safe and suitable workspace. Working hours, pay and duties stay as in each person's contract unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Exceptions and adjustments

We will consider each situation fairly. This includes:

Disability or health needs
Caring duties
Roles agreed as remote
Travel disruption on the day

How to ask for an adjustment

Talk to your manager, then write to people@harlowfinch.example. We reply within 10 working days.

Everyone gets a written answer with a reason.

Costs and support

Subsidised travel pass
Lockers and a desk-booking app

Managers

Managers apply this policy fairly and equally, record agreed adjustments and talk to Chief People Officer if unsure.

Review

After six months, then every year

If the policy conflicts with a person's contract or the law, the contract and the law come first.

Templates are a careful starting point, not legal advice. Where the law matters, check what applies where you are.

Can I download this template as Word or PDF?

Yes. When you have filled in the form, save it as a Word document to keep editing, or as a PDF to send or print. It is free and needs no account.

Is what I type sent anywhere?

No. What you type stays in your browser while you fill in the document. It only goes to nerix if you choose to open the template in the chat.

What should I check before I use this template?

Changing where people work can change their contract. Some places require consultation, and some staff have a legal right to ask for flexible work or an adjustment for a disability. Check the contract and local law before you roll this out.

Are these HR templates free?

Most are. Fill in and download them for free as Word or PDF, with no account. A few longer documents are premium: free to fill in, paid once to download, and marked with their price.

Do the HR templates follow my country's employment law?

They assume no country's law. Employment rules differ a lot, so each template says where to check local requirements before you use it.

Can a small team use them too?

Yes. They work for a team of two or a company of two thousand, and you can cut any section you do not need in the Word version.
