I understand that a fee for a check is only charged if the law allows it, and that I will be told of it before it is charged.

7. How your information is used

Greenfield Lettings will use the information on this form only to decide whether to offer you the property, to carry out the checks above, and, if you are chosen, to prepare the tenancy. It will keep it safe, will share it only with the people who need it for those purposes, such as its agent and the referees you name, and will not sell it. It will keep this form for this long: 6 months after a decision if the application is refused, or for the length of the tenancy and the period the law requires if it is accepted. After that it will delete or destroy it.

You may ask to see what is held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and you may ask the landlord to explain how a decision was made, using the contact details of the landlord or agent. You may complain to the data protection authority of your country. Ask to see the full privacy notice of the landlord if you would like more detail.

8. Declaration

I declare that the information I have given is true and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand that false or missing information may lead to my application being refused, or, if I am already a tenant, to the tenancy being ended as the law allows.

Questions people ask

What details does this template ask for?

The form asks for 26 details, starting with Landlord or agent, Property applied for, Wanted move-in date, Monthly rent, Applicant's full name. 7 more are optional.

Can I download this template as Word or PDF?

Yes. When you have filled in the form, save it as a Word document to keep editing, or as a PDF to send or print. It is free and needs no account.

Is what I type sent anywhere?

No. What you type stays in your browser while you fill in the document. It only goes to nerix if you choose to open the template in the chat.

What should I check before I use this template?

Data protection and anti-discrimination laws differ by country and often limit what a landlord may ask or keep. Ask only for what you need to decide, do not ask about protected matters such as religion, health or origin, collect identity papers and bank details only from the person you choose, and tell applicants how long you keep their data. Some places limit application fees, deposits and the checks you may run, so check the local rules before you use this form.

Are these renting templates free?

Yes. Fill in and download any of them for free, with no account.

Is a tenancy template valid in my country?

Tenancy law differs a lot between countries and cities, for example on notice periods and deposits. Use the template as a base and check the rules where the property is.

Should I send a repair request in writing?

Yes, whenever you can. A dated letter shows when you asked and what you asked for, which helps if the problem is not fixed.

Can a landlord and tenant both use the same template?

Yes. The agreement templates are written to be fair to both sides, and each side keeps a signed copy.
