Result The result is total income minus total costs, from the two tables above. A positive result is a surplus, a negative one a shortfall that needs a plan. **Reserve for surprises:** 100,000 ## 6. Risks A large client leaves: 8 percent of income. Costs in dollars rise if the euro weakens. Hiring takes longer than planned. ## 7. Follow-up Finance sends a report each month. Any line more than 10 percent over needs approval from the general manager.
