# How to Run a Check in nerix

Checks help you get ready for a check by an outside person or body. They give readiness information. They are not an audit and not legal advice.

## In short

- Switch on Checks in Settings, Features. It is for business workspaces.
- Open Checks from the sidebar, under Quality.
- Choose Get ready for a check and pick the standard or law from the library, or start from one of the ready plans.
- Read the list. Each requirement is marked Evidence found, Partly found, Not found or Can't tell.
- Fix what is missing, add the evidence, and look again. Start free About audits

## What a check holds

The Checks place has Plan, Checks, Issues and Business reviews. Each page starts with figures. When it is empty it offers Start from a plan, with about 35 ready plans.

For ISO 27001 there is also a statement of applicability, and you can add outside auditors.

## Evidence counts

A requirement counts as found only when there is evidence for it in your files. For standards you pay for, nerix shows the clause numbers with its own labels, and you load your own copy of the standard for the full text.

## Feedback

Feedback, also under Quality, sends forms to people by email with a personal link and shows the results, the response rate and charts.
