# How to Invite People to nerix

Inviting people works in a business workspace. A personal workspace is one person and has no members.

## In short

- Open Settings, then Workspace.
- Under members and invitations, add the person by email.
- Choose their role. The built-in roles cover most teams, and you can make your own.
- Put them in a team if you use teams. They get an email with the invitation. Start free

## Roles decide what people can do

Each person has a role, and a role is a list of what they can do. Read the roles and access article to see the built-in roles and how to make a custom one.

Roles for people outside the company do not use a member seat.

## Outside people

Guests are people outside the company who work with you. They see only the topics they were added to.

A guest is not invited from the Workspace screen. Add an outside person to a topic or a meeting instead, by email.

## Invite to a meeting

Start a meeting, add the people by email, and press Start now. Copy invite link gives a link that works for people in the workspace or for people outside it.
